Mirfield Knowl Park Skatepark
Mirfield skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape and opened in 2011. It can be found in Knowle Park and is a combination of street and transition elements.
The skatepark is set up in one loop and has a street run that starts with a hipped bank that leads up to a raised level with a flat bank, hubba, stair set and rail. There is a small gap along the side to create a double ledge gap and the end of the level leads down with another flat bank, stair set, rail and hubba combo. The run is then finished with a quarter pipe that is hipped around the outside. Next to this is a small rectangular bowl that has a raised lip on one side and a hip inset to the other and completing the loop is a flat run with a solo bench.
Mirfield skatepark is a great local spot with a bit of something for everyone. The layout is not the most original but the the surfaces are smooth and fast making it a great place for beginners and experienced skaters as well.
