Clifton Park Plaza (Rotherham)

Rotherham skateapark was designed by Freestyle and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2009. It is primarily a street plaza but also has some transitions thrown into the mix as well and can be found in Clifton Park.

The skatepark is set up in a loop and starts on one side with a raised level and a stair set with rails leading down to the lower level. On one side is a path that features a ledge with pole jam and following this is a curved ledge next to a kicker and following this is a taco that acts as a return ramp and leads back onto the second path in the loop. This features a flat bank that leads up to the next level with a rail, hubba and euro gap and following this is a long manny pad and a driveway with a quarter pipe and hubba.

Rotherham is a great local skatepark, especially if you are a street skater. The surfaces are smooth and there is a decent selection of obstacles creatively arranged given the available space. If you are in the area you should definitely get yourself down here and check it out.
