Renfrew Skatepark (30 Acres)

Renfrew skatepark was designed and built by Gravity and opened in March 2010. It is a huge all concrete park featuring both a street and transition elements and can found in Robertson Park.

The street section here runs up one side of the skatepark and starts in the back corner with a raised level that leads down to the start of the street section with a flat bank. Following this is a flat bank with a hubba that leads down and then up to another flat bank with a kicker and ledge, with two quarter pipes running up either side of the run forming a mini ramp. The street run then finishes with a bowled corner.

Next to the street course is the transition section which features a long thin bowl with some hips on one side and a spine into the next bowl on the other. The other bowl is a long thin L-shaped one that is wrapped around a kidney shaped pool with pool tiling and coping. Next to this is a rhythm section with a series of roll overs with quarters at either end.

Renfrew skatepark is a fantastic park with something for everyone, especially if you ride transitions. There is a decent selection of obstacles and there are also a lot of bumps and corners to pump around giving endless lines that you won’t have to push once. The surfaces are also smooth meaning it is a great place for beginners and experienced skaters alike.
