Sheringham’s The Strip Skatepark
Sheringham’s ‘The Strip’ Skatepark features a concrete back and forth plaza with an open bowl at one end, mini ramp the other, and various plaza features including steps, ramps, ledges and rails across two levels in between.
The current park is built by Maverick opened in March 2019, following the demolition of the ‘HMS Gnar’ park in February 2019, which was built by Maverick in 2011. The previous park was very popular, but had to be moved to make was for the building of a new leisure centre. The current park is therefore moved away from the road and is located behind the leisure centre. The 2011 park replaced an original timber skatepark which featured a back and forth layout, with a quarter pipe and flat bank either side of a funbox, in addition to a mini ramp.
