New Milton Skatepark
New Milton skatepark was designed and built by Maverick Industries, opening in 2014. It is an all concrete park that features both street and transition sections with some unusual features.
On the back side of the skatepark is a hipped rectangular bowl with an extension around the smaller section and metal coping throughout. Leading off the top deck is then a rhythm section featuring two facing quarter pipes either side of a jump box and a roll over.
Next to this section is the start of the plaza style street section that opens up with a raised level. Leading down from this is a tiered ledge set a flat as well as a bank with a rail that finishes with a hipped quarter pipe. The final part of the skate park is a flat run with ledge and rail that leads up to an unusual feature that is essentially a quarter pipe that curved around into a thin full pipe. You’d have to see it in the pictures below to understand!
Overall this is a great park with something for every type of rider, no matter what your preference is. Make sure you get yourself down here and give it a ride for yourself.
