Waltham Abbey Skatepark
Waltham Abbey skatepark was designed and built by Gravity, opening in 2011. It can be found in Town Mead park and is all concrete featuring both street and transition elements.
The skatepark starts on one side with an open sided bowl that has two different depths and a speed corner with an extension at the end. The open side of the bowl is hipped with a volcano on one side and into a flat bank on the other. The flat bank here is hipped and joined onto a raised level with a ledge and rail that lead up to a quarter pipe with a mouse hole gap in the middle.
Waltham Abbey skatepark is a good local spot with all of the basic obstacles you would expect. The layout has been well thought out and makes good use of the available space with smooth surfaces. If you are in the area get down here and check it out.
The Skatepark was extended by Gravity in June 2015.

Getting there
Waltham Cross train station: Exit the station onto Eleanor Cross Road and head east continuing as it turns into Station Road and then Highbridge Street. Eventually Town Mead park will be on your right and here is where Waltham Abbey skatepark can be found.
McDonalds bus stop: Exit the bus onto Highbridge Street and Town Mead park will be in sight, here is where the skatepark can be found.
