Portland Skatepark
Portland skatepark was designed and built by Freestyle and opened in 2010. It is an all concrete park that consists of both street and transition obstacles in a nice spot right next to the beach.
It starts on one side with an open sided bowl that can be doubled as a mini ramp and opens into the main body of the park with two hips on either side of the opening. This leads onto a hipped bank, a manny pads with ledges, rail and a curved ledge, all set on a flat base. Following on from this is a flat bank that leads up to an upper level with a euro gap, manny pad, hubba and rails, and then the upper level is finished off with a small curved whippy quarter pipe.
Portland skatepark is a great local spot with something for everyone of all abilities. The surfaces are smooth and the layout has been designed in a creative way that allows for long flowing lines. It is a good place to come for a long session with friends and should be checked out if you are in the area.

Getting there
Weymouth train station: As it is such a long distance from the station it would be recommended to get a bus or a taxi to get to Portland skatepark.
Victoria Square bus stop: Exit the bus onto Portland Beach Road and Portland skatepark will be in sight.
