Saltmill Skatepark

Saltmill skatepark is an all concrete park in Saltash and is mainly a transitions based park. The skatepark also recently secured funding and was expanded to include a new plaza style street section along side the existing course.

On the far side of the skatepark are two mini ramps, one smaller than the other, back to back with each other forming a spine. Off the back of the platform of the taller mini ramp is a quarter pipe that leads into the main body of the skatepark and next to this off the same platform is a long staggered flat bank that is lined with two hubbas. These lead directly onto a driveway with a hubba and a rail and down from this is the large open bowl. The bowl itself is flat bottomed with a large pyramid in the middle and the edges are of varying heights. Adjoined to this bowl is a smaller round bowl that is a lot more whippy and is great for building speed before hitting the pyramid.

The recently added street section is quite small but holds everything that you would want. At either side is a flat bank and a quarter pipe that house a rail, hubba and manny pad with wall ride in the middle.

This is a really nice skatepark with something for everyone whether you are a street or transition rider of any ability. The surfaces are smooth despite the age of parts of the park and the layout of the obstacles gives the park a nice flow, especially the bowl section. It is a good place to come and practise the basics or even if you are a more experienced rider fine tuning those tricky moves.
