Whitby Park Skatepark (Ellesmere Port)
Opened in the summer of 2008, Ellesmere Port’s Whitby Park Skatepark is an all concrete park following the usual back and forth layout.
On one side of the park is a mini ramp and leading off the top platforms is a quarter pipe and a roll in that open up into the main body of the skatepark. In the middle section of the park is a jump box, a series of staggered ledges and a driveway with hubba and stair set inset. The back side of the park is finished with a mellow flat bank and a vert wall that can be used for return ramps.
This is a nice local park with a decent selection of obstacles set in super smooth concrete. The layout may not be the most creative, but the obstacles are well spaced and cater to all abilities, making the park a good place to practice the basics.
The skatepark cost £118,750, with funding from WREN (£25,000) Neston Borough Council (£73,000), Sport England (£10,000) and the Community Safety Partnership (£10,000).

Getting there
Ellesmere Port train station: Exit Ellesmere Port station onto Whitby Road and head south until Stanley Road is on your right. Take this road and follow it until Whitby Park is on your right and here is where Ellesmere Port skatepark can be found.
Whitby Park bus stop: Exit the bus onto Stanley Lane and Ellesmere Port skatepark will be in sight.
