Dean Lane Skatepark
Dean Lane skatepark, or the deaner as its know locally, is made up of concrete ramps on a tarmac base that is arranged around two sides of the football pitches in Dame Emily Park and has been there since the 70s.
The inner side of the course is made up of two tall hipped flat banks with a series of ramps, curved banks, bowled corners and a large pump bump. On one side is also a mini ramp with a bowled edge on one side and an open side on the other.
This is one of the original skateparks in the UK from the 70s when skateboarding first became popular and it remains a popular spot even today. It is different to many of the other more recently built parks in its layout and it is more transitions focused, it is a great spot and you should definitely check it out if you are in the area.

Getting there
Bedminster train station: Exit the station onto Windmill Hill and head north until Hereford Street. Here follow this road and cross over Malago Road onto Church Lane and following this road north and continuing as it turns into Warden Road. The end of this road exits onto Dean Lane and Dame Emily Park will be in sight, here is where Dean Lane skatepark can be found.
