Oldmeldrum Skatepark
Oldmeldrum skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2009. It is an all concrete skatepark that can be found in Crescent Park and is mainly a transitions based park.
The skatepark starts on one side with a quarter pipe and following this is a flat bank that down a level with a euro gap and rail. This leads into the main body of the skatepark which starts with a flat area, one side of which is bowled and the other being lined with flat banks. Further on from this is a transition down into a bowled area with two corners and a hip.
Oldmeldrum skatepark is a great local spot, especially if you like to skate transitions. There are a lot of corners and bumps that you can pump along creating endless lines that you don’t need to push along. It is a good place to come and practise the basics and also if you are a more experienced skater.
